Thailand Part 1

Hello! I was in Bangkok, Thailand for the past couple of days.Its my first time there and it was indeed a very different experience.

Four Seasons Hotel

Four Seasons Hotel is a Six Star hotel located close to Phloen Chit road, which is their version of "Orchard Road" of Singapore.

The first day when my family and I arrived, it was pretty late. We checked into the hotel and took a snack before sleeping for dinner.

Four-faced Buddha

Saw the famous four-faced Buddha while going out for the snack.

On day 2, we took a boat ride at the river. Tickets are mad cheap, 14 Baht for a boat ride. That is less than 1USD.

 

Yes, the water is that colour. For someone who is used to seeing water in its unpolluted form, or rather, less polluted form, this came as a great shock to me.

Took the boat to the Grand Palace, which is a hugely popular tourist destination. It is essentially a huge temple.

Changing of Guards

 

The vibrant colours of the buildings never failed to impress me that day. Especially under the sunlight, it was bathed in a golden hue that made it a joy to sight-see, even though the temperature was near inhumane conditions.
