Thailand Part 4

We reached our next destination, Wat Pho not too long after.

Want to take a guess what that is?

Well if you still don't see it, its actually the " hair" of the Reclining Buddha.

Its very difficult to explain the size of this gargantuan Buddha.
Use the people at the bottom left as reference to how huge it is. And thats just the feet.

And i went cat-hunting again after >.< Well its not my fault that they are found hiding everywhere so photogenic.

Well it was not all just cats of course.

Dinner was at Nippon Kai which I was mentioned in an earlier post.

Thailand Part 3

We moved to another hotel called Asia Hotel.

On day 4, we had initially decided to visit Wat Pho, which was home to the Reclining Buddha. However, it was the monk's lunch break by the time we arrived there. Since we had about an hour ++ to spare, we had a detour.

Park
We passed by a park while wondering around.

We were wondering around looking for someone to ask for the directions. An elderly man suggested several places for us to go and advised us to go on a Tuk Tuk.

Tuk Tuk
So this is how a Tuk Tuk looks like from the front. It is an open-aired taxi and much smaller than the width of a car.

Our Tuk Tuk
The driver
Before taking a ride on the Tuk Tuk, it is advisable to agree on a fare before driving off. Tuk Tuk drivers are well known to have raise up the prices of rides, especially towards foreigners.

Our first destination was to a temple.

This was not a tourist populated area and the temple was empty. Just a few monks and....

More cats!

"Go away! I want to sleep"

Cats are extremely photogenic creatures. Unlike dogs, they are way less hyperactive and most of the time, they just ignore you.

Upon walking out of the temple, the Tuk Tuk man insisted on showing us turtles.

Next stop was a Jewellery Shop

It was around 2pm and we decided to return back to Wat Pho.
